CLUB STATEMENT: AGENT FEES

Club statement regarding the disclosure of the payments made to intermediaries and agents. 

Today (22nd April) the FA has made public the payments that each Club has made to agents and intermediaries in the period 1st October 2015 to 1st February 2016. 

As part of our transparency commitment, the Club’s directors feel that it is necessary to relay to fans the reasoning behind such costs and how measures are now in place to ensure that such costs will be reduced in the future. 

The figures released today refer to signings made at the start of the season by the previous administration. 

As a board, we are putting in measures to ensure better planning in the approach to future transfer windows, along with controls in place to reduce spending in such areas. 

We anticipate that costs of this nature will reduce significantly next season.
