Update from the Supporters’ Trust Special General Meeting – 25th April
Thank you to all those members who attended the Special General Meeting at Rodney Parade on 25th April.
The level of attendance, the positive comments at the meeting, and the close to unanimous support for the three formal resolutions placed before members demonstrates that the Trust has an important role in working with Huw Jenkins and the Board of the football club.
The presentation slides and a record of the minutes are being uploaded to our website.
The three formal resolutions were all approved. The new Model Rules for the Trust are now in the process of being registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). They will also be published on our website.
We are now working on the election process and timetable for new directors for the Trust. The election is being planned for June. There will be eight vacancies. As confirmed at the meeting, all of the current Trust Board will stand down as part of this election process. Should any of the current directors wish to rejoin the Trust Board, then they will re-stand in the election to be sure that they have a fresh mandate to serve the Trust.
The new Board will have the support of the out-going directors in the transition period. The FSA will also be providing induction training and support.
If you are interested in standing for election, or would like to help the Trust in a voluntary capacity but not as a director, please email the following address – elections@ncafctrust.org. All enquiries will be treated in confidence.
More information on the election, and the process and date for submitting a nomination to stand, will be published shortly.
This will be a new era for the Trust, and this is a good time for members to come forward to help shape its future.
